More than one million ticket applications have been submitted for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 in less than three days, with the India-Pakistan match drawing the highest demand. More than 320,000 fans have registered for the ticket ballot since it opened on October 1, 2026, seeking tickets for matches in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Ticket prices range from $9.62 for entry-level tickets to $31.31 for the highest-tier matches, and family bundles, student and pensioner prices, early-bird local allocations, and community club and school group prices are also available.

  • India vs Pakistan, October 10: more than 100,000 applications

  • South Africa vs India: more than 86,000

  • India vs Australia: more than 80,000

  • India vs Pakistan Super 7 match, November 7: almost 75,000

  • Final, November 21: almost 65,000

ICC Reaction

ICC chief executive Sanjog Gupta said the one million applications showed the scale of interest in the tournament. He added that "this is also Africa's moment to shine," as an ICC men's major event returns to the continent after two decades.

About the Tournament

The 14-team tournament runs across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with the final scheduled for November 21. It is expected to draw the attention of about 2.5 billion cricket fans across more than 120 countries.
