1. Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC)

OGDC is a state-owned company headquartered in Islamabad and is Pakistan's largest hydrocarbon producer. It operates about 50 oil and gas fields and 18 processing plants, with more exploration area and bigger reserves than any other company in the country.
It is also the largest company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange by market value, at about Rs1.41 trillion. OGDC holds a stake in Pakistan International Oil Limited, a consortium that won exploration rights to an offshore block in Abu Dhabi.
2. Mari Energies Limited (MARI)

Mari Energies, earlier known as Mari Petroleum, operates the Mari Field in Ghotki, Sindh, which holds Pakistan's second-largest gas reservoir. The company was founded in December 1984 and is one of the country's largest exploration and production companies.
Its market value stands at about Rs797.8 billion, making it the second-largest oil and gas company on the exchange. It supplies gas to sectors such as fertilizer, power and refining.
3. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL)

PPL is a state-owned exploration and production company that operates 12 producing fields, including Sui, Pakistan's largest gas field. It also holds working interests in 18 fields operated by partners.
Together with OGDC, PPL is one of the two main state-owned producers of natural gas in the country. Its market value is about Rs618.45 billion, placing it third in the sector.
4. Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL)

Pakistan Oilfields is a leading exploration and production company based in Rawalpindi. It is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange and is a part of the KSE-30 index.
With a market value of about Rs207.27 billion, POL is known for earning a large share of its revenue from crude oil. This makes it different from gas-focused producers.
5. Pakistan State Oil (PSO)

PSO is the nation's largest energy company in marketing and distribution. It sells petrol, high-speed diesel, furnace oil, jet fuel, kerosene, CNG, LPG, petrochemicals and lubricants.
Its market value is about Rs169.34 billion. Under the rules for the 2026-27 fiscal year, all high-speed diesel imports are to be handled exclusively through PSO, which underlines its central role in fuel supply.
6. Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL)

Attock Refinery is one of Pakistan's key oil refineries, turning crude oil into products such as petrol and diesel. It is listed on the stock exchange and is part of the KSE-30 index.
Its market value is about Rs117.97 billion. As a refinery, it plays an important role between oil producers and the fuel marketing companies that sell to the public.
7. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL)

SNGPL is the largest integrated gas company in the country, serving more than 5.3 million consumers in North Central Pakistan. Its network covers Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The company supplies gas to homes, shops, industries, fertilizer plants, and the power and cement sectors. It is also part of the KSE-30 index.
8. Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)

SSGC is a publicly listed, large-scale company and one of Pakistan's leading integrated gas companies. It supplies natural gas to consumers in the southern part of the country, mainly Sindh and Balochistan.
Its customers include households, businesses and industries. SSGC is also part of the KSE-30 index, which tracks the 30 most liquid companies on the exchange.
9. Attock Petroleum Limited (APL)

Attock Petroleum is an oil marketing company that sells petroleum products through its retail outlets across the country. It is a part of the Attock Group, which also includes Attock Refinery.
The company is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange and competes with other fuel marketers in selling petrol, diesel and lubricants to drivers and businesses.
10. Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL)

Pakistan LNG Limited is a state-owned company set up to import liquefied natural gas, which helps the country meet growing gas demand. LNG is brought in by ship and supplied to gas utilities, power plants and industry.
The company is a key part of Pakistan's energy security planning, especially as local gas reserves decline. It works with international suppliers to arrange LNG cargoes.
