Pakistan's NAB and Russia's Prosecutor General's Office plan to sign an anti-corruption and money laundering MoU in Moscow on November 6.
Pakistan and Russia are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in anti-corruption and money laundering on November 6, according to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). NAB Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed held a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev, discussing matters of mutual interest including institutional transparency and anti-corruption frameworks.
Signing Planned in Moscow
The meeting resulted in an understanding to sign an MoU between NAB and the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, with the ceremony expected to take place in Moscow on November 6. The agreement aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two countries on anti-corruption and money laundering.
Russia Vows Stronger Institutional Cooperation
Ambassador Khorev reiterated Russia's commitment to strengthening constructive dialogue and institutional collaboration with Pakistan. The proposed MoU is expected to provide a framework for greater coordination between the relevant institutions of both countries.
