Both fuels see a slight cut for a second straight day, with petrol down just Rs0.14 and diesel down Rs1.89.

Petrol drops to Rs387.40 and diesel to Rs400.35 per litre effective October 1, 2026, marking a second straight day of price cuts.

The federal government has slightly reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel with effect from October 1, according to the daily petroleum pricing formula. Petrol has been cut by Rs0.14 per litre to Rs387.40, while high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs1.89 per litre to Rs400.35, according to a Petroleum Division notification.

This follows an earlier cut announced for September 30, when petrol fell Rs1.49 per litre to Rs387.54 and high-speed diesel dropped Rs2.73 to Rs402.24 per litre.
