The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has cut petrol price by Rs2.27 per litre, taking it to Rs389.03, with the new rate effective September 29. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs3.56 to Rs404.97 per litre.
A Small Net Drop After Midweek Fluctuation
Petrol had climbed back to Rs391.30 earlier in the week after briefly dipping to Rs389.28. This latest reduction leaves it about Rs2.3 lower than that midweek high.
How the Price Is Calculated
Prices are set using a seven-working-day rolling average of the Platts Arab Gulf price, with the Petroleum Division saying levies and margins remained largely steady in this latest revision.
