Pakistan's footwear exports rise 14.59% to $52.226 million in the first quarter of FY2026-27, led by stronger leather and canvas footwear sales.

Footwear Exports Show Growth

Pakistan's footwear exports increased by 14.59% during the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, reaching $52.226 million compared with $45.577 million in the same period last year.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data, the increase reflects stronger international demand for several categories of locally manufactured footwear.

Leather Footwear Leads Export Earnings

Leather footwear remained the largest contributor, with exports rising 18.82% to $42.712 million from $35.948 million a year earlier.

Canvas footwear exports also increased by 83.28%, reaching $808,000 compared with $441,000 during the corresponding period.

However, exports of other footwear products declined by 5.25% to $8.706 million.

September Records Strong Monthly Growth

Footwear exports reached $19.017 million in September 2026, marking a 58.83% increase compared with $11.973 million in September 2025.

The latest figures highlight growth in Pakistan's footwear export sector, particularly in leather products, although performance varied across product categories.
