Rupee Makes a Small Gain Against Dollar
The US dollar closed at Rs276.71 against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, as the local currency recorded a marginal improvement.
The rupee gained around 0.82 paisa compared with the previous session’s closing rate of Rs276.72, reflecting limited movement in the exchange market.
Open Market Rates
In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at Rs277.25 for buying and Rs279.75 for selling.
The difference between interbank and open-market rates reflects the separate pricing used by banks and currency exchange companies.
Rupee Records Mixed Performance Against Other Currencies
The Pakistani rupee also gained against several major currencies. The euro closed at Rs309.78, while the British pound settled at Rs371.24.
The local currency also strengthened against the Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Saudi riyal and UAE dirham, while losing ground against the Swiss franc.
Despite international uncertainty and tensions in the Middle East, the rupee remained broadly stable during the trading session.
