Pakistan and China sign an agreement to speed up agricultural trade at the Sost-Khunjerab border through priority customs clearance.
Pakistan and China have signed an agreement to operationalise a Green Channel at the Sost-Khunjerab border crossing to facilitate agricultural trade between the two countries.
The agreement, signed by both countries’ customs authorities on October 29, 2026, aims to make the movement of approved agricultural products faster and more efficient.
Faster Clearance for Perishable Goods
Under the arrangement, eligible shipments will receive priority processing and customs checks based on risk assessments. Both countries will also exchange information and risk alerts to improve coordination.
Perishable goods will receive special attention to reduce delays and help products reach their destinations on time.
The initiative is expected to strengthen cross-border trade and improve cooperation between Pakistan and China.
