Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian Zhao mocked the US. He shared a short clip on his Twitter handle in which Taliban soldiers can be seen using a captured aircraft as a makeshift swing.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman criticized the US withdrawal and the speedy fall of the US backed Afghan government. The Taliban have seized large amounts of US and Western built militant hardware during its summer offensive which climaxed on 15th August with the fall of Kabul. The ‘swing’ is just one article out of hundreds of military goods that will be assimilated into the Taliban’s arsenal. One report suggests close to 2,000 armored vehicles in the Taliban army’s assets.

A few days prior, China had announced USD 31 million package for Afghanistan’s aid. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that China will provide 200 million yuan worth of winter supplies, food and medicine as per requirement.

Lijian Zhao is a career diplomat who has gained massive popularity due to his frequent trolling of D.C. Washington and harsh take on the hasty US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
