Arafat Minhas Calls Brook Dismissal a ‘Dream Ball’

After scoring 59 and taking 6-40 against England, Arafat Minhas calls Harry Brook’s dismissal a dream ball for a left-arm spinner.
Pakistan all-rounder Arafat Minhas has described the delivery with which he dismissed England white-ball captain Harry Brook as “a dream ball” for a left-arm spinner. Speaking to PCB Digital after the match, he said winning was the most important thing and that bowling in the right areas worked in his favour.
A Memorable Day
Minhas called his performance in Rawalpindi memorable: he scored 59 runs and took six wickets for 40 runs. He said he recognised the need for a partnership when he went in to bat, and that his batting put England under pressure.
Analyst’s View
Former England batter and commentator Mark Butcher said Brook’s arrival at the crease put Pakistan under pressure because of his ability to dismantle an attack. He noted that in two consecutive matches Pakistan recovered from early wickets to post totals of around 300 through the middle and lower-middle order, and that a competitive total gives their first-choice bowling attack a better-than-even chance of winning. He also praised the performance of Pakistan’s left-arm spin.
