Pakistan earned $107.09 million by exporting 85,247 tonnes of fresh mangoes to 49 countries, with the UK the top market by value and the UAE by volume.

Pakistan generated $107.09 million (about Rs29.7 billion) by exporting 85,247 tonnes of fresh mangoes to 49 countries, reflecting strong international demand for the country’s seasonal fruit. The United Kingdom was the largest market by export value, importing Pakistani mangoes worth $29.92 million, while the United Arab Emirates received the largest volume at 23,025 tonnes. The five leading destinations together accounted for nearly 75% of the total earnings. Based on these figures, the average export value works out to about $1.26 per kilogram.

Value and Volume Tell Different Stories

The figures show that demand varies across markets. Some countries contribute more through the value of their purchases, while others import larger quantities. That is why the UK leads in value and the UAE leads in volume.

Why Mangoes Matter

Mangoes are an important part of Pakistan’s agricultural sector and are exported to the Middle East, Europe and other regions. Exports contribute to foreign exchange earnings and provide business opportunities for growers, traders, packers and exporters.

What Keeps Markets Open

Maintaining access to international markets depends on meeting quality standards, preserving freshness during transport and making sure shipments arrive in suitable condition. These factors matter most for fresh produce, which needs careful handling throughout the supply chain. Expanding market access and maintaining quality could help exporters strengthen the presence of Pakistani mangoes abroad.
