Umer Sharif has been granted US visa for cancer treatment.

Umer Sharif, a veteran comedian, has been given a visa.

Murtaza Wahab, the head of the PPP, revealed the news on his Twitter account on Wednesday.

"I am pleased to inform you that Omer Sharif Sahab's family's immigration interviews took place today. I am grateful to the US embassy for exempting Omer Bhai's presence from the need for visa granting. Murtaza Wahab announced a few minutes later that Umer Sharif had been awarded the visa. This week, the TV celebrity will visit the United States.
