American David Rush sets a Guinness World Record by catching 20 paper aeroplanes with his mouth in one minute, using a blunt-nosed design for safety.

American David Rush has set a Guinness World Record for catching the most paper aeroplanes with his mouth in one minute. He caught 20 on his second official attempt, enough to beat the previous record of 17. The source says he set the record alongside his 13-year-old niece.

How He Did It

Rush, who holds more than 200 Guinness World Records, said he had thought about attempting the challenge several years ago but put it off after learning that the pointed end of a paper aeroplane could cause considerable pain when it hits the face. He later returned to the idea after finding a design with a broad, blunt nose that appeared safer. In his first official attempt he caught 14, short of the previous record, and then caught 20 on his second try.

This is a professional record attempt, and readers should not try it at home.
