Billionaire entrepreneur and SpaceX chief Elon Musk has said he is concerned that humanity has not yet found any sign of extraterrestrial life. He made the remark in a November 6 post on X, replying to a discussion about the 1977 Wow! Signal.
What Musk Said
Musk wrote, “It troubles me greatly that we do not yet see any sign of aliens.” He was replying to a discussion about the Wow! Signal, a strong radio signal detected by astronomers in 1977 that has never been conclusively explained.
His Earlier Remarks
Musk has previously said he has seen no convincing evidence that aliens have visited Earth. He has also noted that SpaceX’s satellite network has never had to manoeuvre around an alien vehicle. He has expressed interest in finding evidence of extraterrestrial civilisations, including traces of ancient life beyond Earth.
No Confirmation
His remarks neither confirm nor rule out the existence of aliens.
