Salman Ali Agha Backs Babar and Fakhar Ahead of Pakistan’s Tri-Series Final

Agha Shows Confidence in Pakistan’s Senior Batters

Pakistan batter Salman Ali Agha has backed Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman ahead of the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka, saying both experienced players have won important matches for the country.

Speaking at a press conference, Agha said every cricketer goes through difficult periods when runs do not come despite hard work. He added that Babar and Fakhar understand what they need to do to improve their performances.

Pakistan Hope for Strong Comeback

Pakistan’s top order has struggled for consistency during the tournament. The concerns increased after the team was dismissed for just 110 runs in its previous match against Sri Lanka, which the visitors won by eight wickets.

Agha acknowledged that Pakistan had not yet produced its best performance but expressed hope that the team would deliver a stronger display in the final.

He also said the players had worked with the coaching staff to address weaknesses during training.

Final Set for Lahore

Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the final on October 31 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The match is scheduled to begin at 1pm, with the toss at 12:30pm.

Pakistan reached the final after winning their first three matches, while Sri Lanka secured their place with strong performances in the tournament.

Agha said Pakistan have the players needed to win, but their performance on match day will be the deciding factor.
