President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the reversal of the order withdrawing the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust for a fundraiser, emphasizing the potential impact on the construction of a charity hospital.
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration had withdrawn the NOC for the fundraiser at a local hotel, prompting concerns about potential delays in the hospital’s construction.
Dr Alvi expressed his apprehension on X, formerly Twitter, likening the decision to “cutting off one’s nose to spite the face.”
