PKR 112 billion for ex-FATA uplift released by Govt

PKR 112 billion for ex-FATA

According to the well-informed sources, an amount of PKR 112 billion for ex-FATA has been released during the period from 2018-20. The funds were released under the Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) and Annual Development Programme (ADP).  

Out of the total released amount, PKR 19.25 billion were meant for the roads, PKR 10 million were given away to the environment department, PKR 18 billion were given to the education sector, PKR 15 billion were for the healthcare department, PKR 13 billion for relief and rehabilitation, PKR 9 billion for energy and power and water management and irrigation department each, PKR 8 billion for multi-sectoral development, PKR 6 billion for agriculture and livestock. 

Moreover, PKR 5 billion for sports, culture, tourism and archaeology, PKR 4 billion for drinking water and sanitation, PKR 3 billion for industries and enterprise development, PKR 2.5 billion for the rule of law, PKR 2.2 billion for municipal and urban uplift, PKR 0.8 billion for law and justice and about PKR 2 billion were given to other 12 departments of ex-FATA.  

Kamran Bangash, the Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister on Information told the media that only Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been contributing to the development of these areasby providing PKR 112 billion for ex-FATA uplift but other provinces did not move in this direction.
