AJK Makes Arms Licence Registration Mandatory Within 10 Days

AJK makes arms licence registration compulsory within 10 days, warning of licence cancellation, arrest and weapon confiscation.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has made police registration compulsory for all arms licence holders across the region. The new directive requires residents to register their licences at their nearest police station within 10 days of the notification.
What Happens If the Deadline Is Missed?
According to the new instructions, police will record licence details and issue registration slips to applicants. Licences not registered within the deadline will be considered cancelled. Anyone found possessing weapons without valid registration may face arrest and confiscation of their weapons.
The measure aims to maintain proper records and prevent the use and circulation of illegal weapons.
