'Getting late for prayer': Babar Azam's viral video wins internet

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is a fan darling for all the right reasons, as he never fails to please his fans, whether through play or off-field exploits.

Babar received recognition most recently for his outstanding performance in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL), which won him his 10th T20 century and the distinction of becoming the second-ever batter to score ten hundred in this format of the game.

This time, the 28-year-old cricketer has received plaudits from his followers for being concerned about his prayer.

Babar was heard ordering reporters to hurry up since the time for prayer was about to end in a recently released LPL video.

The video won over the internet and was widely shared on the microblogging site X, earlier known as Twitter.
