Jemima Goldsmith, a British screenwriter and film producer, wished everyone a nice Ramadan and added a gentle reminder of what the holy month meant for Muslims as individuals throughout the nation observed their first fast of the holy month of Ramadan.

Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima shared a brief look back on Twitter. She said that the holy month of Ramadan was her “favorite” period in Pakistan.

“My favorite time of year in Pakistan was Ramadan. A month without gossiping, swearing, shouting, or lying. It is also a month of good intentions and attempting to be a better person. The season of reflection, almsgiving, generosity, forgiveness, family, and jalebis. Happy Ramadan, the producer wrote on Twitter.

The British director also included a little excerpt from her romance comedy What’s Love Got to Do With It?, which stars Shabana Azmi and Sajal Aly from Pakistan.

The video clip provides a brief view of a family seated at a table for tea. The mother, Shabana Azmi, likely serves the dinner as the two young men joke around. People all around the country have always liked Jemima, not only for her continual good representation of Pakistan but also for her connection to the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The scriptwriter, 49, spoke up about her young marriage to politician-turned-former-cricketer Imran Khan in an interview with The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine.

She admitted that she had a “part of me that thinks that if my parents had been sane and functional and able to agree, maybe having an arranged marriage would have done me some favours.”

Her nine-year marriage to Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, during which she lived there, served as the inspiration for her directorial debut, for which she is also the producer. The dual worlds of contemporary dating and planned marriages are the focal points of romantic comedy.

Jemima and Khan co-parent their two sons, despite the fact that they are now divorced, and they remain close.
