Galaxy Tab S12 Plus vs Tab S10 Plus: What Has Changed?
Samsung's new flagship tablet brings a bigger screen, newer chip, and slimmer design — but costs £200 more than its predecessor did at launch.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S12 Plus brings a larger display, faster MediaTek chip, and bigger battery over the Tab S10 Plus, but at a £200 higher starting price.
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus as the latest addition to its premium tablet lineup, bringing several hardware upgrades over the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus launched in 2024. The new model features a slightly larger display, a newer MediaTek processor, a bigger battery and a slimmer, lighter design, though it comes with a significantly higher starting price. The Tab S12 Plus launches October 7 at £1,199, £200 more than the Tab S10 Plus's original £999 UK launch price (now reduced to £919).
Display and Performance
The S12 Plus features a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (up from 12.4 inches), reduced bezels, and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. It's powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 chip, which Samsung says delivers up to 61% better NPU processing, 19% better CPU performance, and 17% better GPU performance than the previous-generation Tab S11 Ultra, aided by a redesigned 3D Vapor Chamber for improved heat dissipation.
Battery, Design, and S Pen
The new tablet packs a 10,600mAh battery (versus 10,090mAh) with a claimed 21 hours of video playback. It measures 5.3mm thick and weighs 553g (Wi-Fi) or 555g (5G), compared to 5.6mm and 571g for the Tab S10 Plus. Both include an S Pen, but the S12 Plus's stylus has a redesigned hexagonal shape and now attaches to the side rather than the rear.
