On Thursday, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a significant meeting to assess the status of higher education scholarships and the iPad scheme in Punjab.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the incomplete briefing, the chief minister urged for a comprehensive plan for the PEEF Scholarships scheme. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the government would take further actions regarding the laptop and iPad schemes, taking into account the students’ needs.
The meeting saw the attendance of notable figures, including former Senator Pervez Rasheed, Member Provincial Assembly Maryam Aurangzeb, Nosheen Adnan, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Secretary Finance and Secretary Higher Education, Chairman PITB, and other officials.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, during the meeting, also directed the initiation of a student survey for the iPad and laptop schemes. She pledged to modernize higher education and other institutions, aligning them with contemporary standards.
