KSE-100 Index Gains 1,456 Points
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its upward trend on Thursday, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 1,456.68 points, or 0.88%, to close at 167,193.43 points.
The market experienced some movement during the session, with the index reaching an intraday high of 167,483.48 points and a low of 165,907.29 points.
Banking and Fertiliser Shares Support Market
Buying activity in banking and fertiliser stocks helped support the market's rise. Shares of several major companies contributed to the index's positive performance.
Total market trading volume reached around 816.83 million shares, with the value of traded shares recorded at approximately Rs31.54 billion.
The latest gain marked the fourth consecutive positive session for the benchmark index. However, individual shares recorded mixed performance, showing that the overall market increase did not benefit every listed company equally.
