Punjab Police has launched an easy e-driving licence service across the province, giving citizens modernisation and convenience. People can now quickly receive a digital copy of their driving licence by visiting the user-friendly Driving Licence Information Management System (DLMIS) website.

The e-driving licence enables for the direct download of a PDF version onto a mobile device, enabling convenient access whenever needed. This digital upgrade not only enhances accessibility but also eliminates the need for physical documents to be carried.

Along with the digital licence service, Punjab has raised the number of driving licence centres from 45 to an astonishing 200 across the province. This extension aims to simplify the licencing process and ensure that citizens have easy access to key services.

It is critical to emphasise that in order to obtain an e-driving licence, you must first apply for a conventional driving licence. A step-by-step process for obtaining your e-driving licence in Punjab is provided below:

  • Visit the DLMIS official website at dlims.punjab.gov.
  • Go to the ‘Licence Info Tab’ and click on ‘E-License.’
  • Enter your CNIC (computerised national identity card) and choose your birth date.
  • Check the ‘I’m not a robot’ box before clicking ‘Verify.’

Finally, smoothly download your E-Driving Licence, and you’re ready to go!
This extraordinary change to digital not only improves accessibility but also speeds up the entire procedure, guaranteeing that Punjab residents can benefit from current technology for their driving licences. With Punjab’s e-driving licence service, you may embrace the future of licencing.
