Registeration for Ehsaas Rashan Program has been opened today for families and benificeries through Web Portal.

Eligibility criteria

The Ehsaas Rashan program has identified 20 million households across Pakistan with an income of Rs. 31,500 per month eligible for subsidies for essential food items. They were identified with the help of the Ehsaas National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey, which is also part of the Ehsaas Program.

Documents Required

There are certain documents required by the Ehsaas Rashan Program to ensure the eligibility of the beneficiaries.

These documents are:

  • Documentary evidence of willingness to share data with third parties authorized CNIC
  • Proof of family income less than Rs. 31,500.
  • A written statement that only one in the family has applied.

How to Apply?

Families that meet the eligibility criteria must apply at the Ehsaas Rashan portal only once. The Ehsaas Rashan Portal will be live today. Applications via SMS or any other channels will not be entertained and rejected immediately, although the government plans to introduce alternative registration methods in due course.

Selection:

Applicants for the Ehsaas Rashan Program will face a rigorous screening process to prevent duplication and misuse of the grant system. Family eligibility will be determined within three or four weeks, after which grant payment will begin.

Are govt employees eligible?

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar explained that less than 31,000 public servants would be eligible to apply for the program. A unanimous cabinet decision would not exclude those traveling abroad for work purposes.
