How to Apply to European Universities: Official Links & Steps

1. Hungary — Stipendium Hungaricum

Apply here:

• Main scholarship portal: apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu

• Pakistan's Sending Partner (mandatory second portal): scholarship.hec.gov.pk

Steps:

1. Register on the HEC portal first and select "Hungarian Scholarship Program."

2. Register separately on the Stipendium Hungaricum portal (same email as HEC).

3. Choose up to two study programmes, ranked Priority 1 and Priority 2.

4. Upload all documents to both portals before the deadline (opens ~November, closes mid-January).

Documents: Attested Intermediate/FSc certificate and transcript, passport copy, CNIC/B-Form, photo, motivation letter, IELTS/TOEFL (if required).

2. Turkey — Türkiye Bursları

Apply here:

• Main site: turkiyeburslari.gov.tr

• Application system (TBBS): tbbs.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr

Steps:

1. Applications are individual only — no agent applies on your behalf.

2. Register on TBBS, fill your profile with education info and grades.

3. Select up to 12 university/programme preferences in order.

4. Upload scanned documents (postal applications not accepted).

Documents: Valid ID/passport, academic transcripts, language test scores (if required by chosen programme).

3. Italy — Universitaly + Regional DSU Portals

Apply here:

• University admission: universitaly.it

• Scholarship (pick your region): dsu.toscana.it (Tuscany) · laziodisco.it (Rome) · edisu.piemonte.it (Turin)

Steps:

1. January–April: Apply for admission via Universitaly; get your pre-enrollment "Summary."

2. June–July: Apply for the DSU scholarship on your region's portal.

3. August–September: Submit legalized, translated financial documents (ISEE Parificato).

Documents: Passport, Universitaly summary, Family Composition Certificate, Income Certificate, Property Certificate (all Italian-translated and embassy-legalized).

4. Poland — University IRK Portals

Apply here:

• Government info portal: study.gov.pl

• Credential recognition: nawa.gov.pl

• Example universities: irk.uw.edu.pl (Warsaw) · irk.uj.edu.pl (Jagiellonian)

Steps:

1. No central portal — apply directly through your chosen university's IRK system.

2. Register, complete your profile, upload documents.

3. Pay the application fee (~PLN 85–200).

Documents: Diploma with Apostille, transcripts, IELTS/Polish test results, passport, photo.

5. Czech Republic — Study in Czechia + University Portals

Apply here:

• Official portal: studyin.cz

• Example: cuni.cz (Charles University)

Steps:

1. Apply directly through your target university's own portal.

2. Have your previous education recognized by the Czech recognition authority.

3. Sit an entrance exam if required (some available abroad, others only in Czechia).

Documents: Recognized secondary school certificate, transcripts, IELTS/TOEFL, personal statement, references.

6. Germany — uni-assist + APS Certificate

Apply here:

• Central application portal: uni-assist.de

• APS appointment: through the German Embassy Islamabad (booked via uni-assist.de guidance)

Steps:

1. Book your APS interview at the German Embassy, Diplomatic Enclave, Islamabad — start this first, it's the longest bottleneck.

2. Register on "My Assist," search your course, upload your HEC-attested degree certificate.

3. Pay the uni-assist fee (~€75 first choice, ~€30 each additional).

4. Once APS arrives (valid for life), apply for your visa with your admission letter and blocked account proof.

Documents: Attested degree/transcripts, APS certificate, passport, blocked account proof (~€11,904/year), health insurance, TestDaF/DSH (for German-taught programmes).
