Girls Beat Boys by Double Digits Across Every Single Punjab Board — Here Are All the Toppers

Several Punjab education boards have announced their 2026 intermediate results, with a clear pattern emerging: female students recorded significantly higher pass rates than male students in every board reporting gender-wise data. Faisalabad led with an overall pass rate of 71.13%, followed by Sahiwal (62.36%), Rawalpindi (60.8%), and Bahawalpur (59.92%).

Faisalabad Board

77,708 of 109,245 candidates passed (71.13%), with female students securing seven of the top eight positions.

Lahore Board

Of over 189,000 candidates, more than 123,000 passed (65% overall). The gender gap was stark: 75% pass rate for female students versus 51% for male students. Pre-medical hit 83% overall (85% female, 75% male); pre-engineering 79% (86% female, 75% male); general science 63% (72% female, 55% male); commerce 67%.

Bahawalpur Board

59.92% passed — the board's lowest rate in three years, down from 63.53% in 2025 and 60.16% in 2024. Bahawalnagar's Akaisha Tariq topped with 1,158 marks.

Multan Board

Khanewal's Ali bin Abdullah took first overall (1,163 marks), with Fakhira Zafar second (1,162) and Muhammad bin Abdullah third (1,160) — all from Khanewal. Detailed results follow the next morning.

Rawalpindi Board

60.8% overall pass rate, with female students at 67.56% against 46.52% for male students.

Sahiwal Board

28,844 of 46,246 passed (62.36%). Ayesha Ashfaq topped with 1,167 marks.

Sargodha Board

Aneeka Safdar of Bhalwal secured the overall top position with 1,162 marks. Chairman Haider Abbas Gondal said the results reflected strict adherence to transparency and merit.
