Kuwait Club’s Congolese star, formerly known as Arsène Zola, has embraced Islam and adopted the name Malik. The conversion ceremony took place at the Zaid Muhammad Al-Mailem Mosque, with the presence of the club’s honorary president, Marzouq Al-Ghanem, along with the technical and administrative staff and fellow players.

At 28 years old, Malik has made a significant impact in Kuwait since his transfer during the winter window last January, impressing audiences with his outstanding performances. The Kuwait Club officially announced Malik’s conversion through their social media platforms, sharing images of him with his teammates. The sacred testimonies were administered by Imam Malik at the Zaid Al-Mailem Mosque in Kuwait, sparking joy among the Kuwaiti Club players and their Tunisian coach, Nabil Maaloul.

Marzouq Al-Ghanem, the club’s honorary president, hailed Malik’s conversion as a significant achievement, expressing profound happiness and praising the club’s environment for nurturing the spiritual growth of numerous foreign players.

Reflecting on the importance of Malik’s decision, Al-Ghanem stated, “It is a moment of true joy for me, transcending worldly matters. The embrace of Islam by an individual signifies a monumental and transformative event.”

Al-Ghanem concluded with heartfelt admiration, remarking, “Malik’s decision to embrace Islam goes beyond mere sporting accomplishments. It is a testament to the supportive environment fostered by President Khaled Al-Ghanim, the club’s administrative and technical staff, and fellow players. Indeed, his conversion stands as a milestone surpassing countless championships.”
