The 1122 service will be available for all residents of the province, and all emergency departments will operate through Rescue 1122. In the event of an emergency, people will need to contact the 1122 service only.

At the meeting, Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the fire brigade will also be operated through Rescue 1122 from today. In case of any emergency, 1122 will be approached and an ambulance and fire brigade will also come for the rescue operation.

Funds are being released for Ambulance services under 1122 and ambulances are being handed over from Sindh Resilience Project to Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Services (SIEHS). A total of 315 ambulances will operate in the province, the meeting was told.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah last month launched Sindh Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in Karachi.
