The young prodigy, Syed Imaad Ali created history by winning the World English Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) Youth Cup, becoming the only player in the world to win the championship twice.

His previous World Youth title win was in 2018 in Dubai. He is also the youngest ever Junior World Scrabble Champion, a title he won in 2019 in Torquay, England.

The 15-year old defeated his opponent in 9 out of 13 games in the finals of the tournament, held in Karachi, as Pakistan finished the tournament as the winners. His fellow competitor, Hasham Hadi Khan, also made it to the finals and finished fourth in the championship.

India’s Gopal Kamath finished second in the championship, while Thailand’s Napat Vatjanurathorn finished third after winning 8 out of 13 games.
