The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a department under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, is gearing up to export approximately 100 female nursing staff to a healthcare firm in Malaysia.

An official disclosed to APP on Thursday that the demand for female nursing staff in Malaysia has been steadily rising, attributed to the high qualifications and expertise of healthcare professionals already working in various Malaysian hospitals.

The OEC has already announced the opening of applications for job seekers interested in opportunities in Malaysia, specifying the required qualifications and experience.

It was informed that the firm in Malaysia is in need of 100 nurses for ICU, with either a diploma in nursing, Bachelor of Science in nursing, or post RN from a recognized institution. Applicants must be registered with the Nursing Council and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a hospital setting.

Preference will be given to candidates with specialized post-basic training in OT/ICU and pediatrics, and applicants should not exceed 45 years of age. The basic monthly salary ranges from RM3,000 to RM4,500.

The health firm will provide monthly allowances, including a general nursing allowance for pediatric nurses, specialized allowances for ICU and OT.

Specific allowances consist of a specialized allowance of RM1,100, general nursing allowance of RM700, degree allowance of RM400, and post-basic allowance of RM800.

Additionally, the official shared the terms and conditions of the employment contract, stating that the confirmed employee’s salary will be reviewed annually in March based on individual performance and market salary trends, with salary increments backdated to January.

Employees will be entitled to a one-month bonus for every year of service upon completion of the contract period, with bonuses payable upon completion of the two-year contract.

Interested applicants can apply via the OEC’s website, where they will need to submit/attach a deposited bank challan amounting to Rs1000 generated during the online application submission process.

For technical support, applicants can contact the OEC-Helpdesk team at UAN: 0311-0011-632 or email: [email protected].
