Pakistan and Qatar have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their long-standing fraternal ties.
The reaffirmation came during a telephone conversation on Monday between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Prime Minister lauded Qatar’s constructive and proactive role in promoting peace, dialogue, and mediation across the region, and appreciated its efforts to ease tensions through diplomatic means.
He assured the Qatari leadership that Pakistan would continue to play a positive role in supporting regional peace and stability.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations and also exchanged views on recent developments in the Middle East.
They agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.
