Pakistan liquid forex reserves grew to $23.1 bn in Jan 2022

The total liquid forex reserves of Pakistan increased to $23.1 billion in January 2022. With total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan now stand at $16.8 billions. While total liquid forex reserves of the commercial banks remained at $6.3 billions.

The national economy of Pakistan continues to show healthy value-added creation. The cyclical position of Pakistan is largely balanced. And the trend growth rate of potential output remains strong.

The Finance Ministry released the monthly Economic Update and Outlook for January 2022.

The update shows that this path will continue despite a number of risk factors present on the horizon.

According to the document, government measures directs to protect consumers’ purchasing power in the future. The monetary policy also supports this government’s stance.
