A kickboxing champion from Karachi, Pakistan, currently competing at the IFMA World Muaythai Championships in Thailand, expressed his dual allegiance this week. He emphasized that he’s not just representing his homeland but also standing in solidarity with Palestine.
This year’s competition features professional fighters from over 40 countries.
“Praise be to Allah, representing Pakistan and Palestine,” Kaleem wrote on X on Thursday ahead of his fight today, Friday, which he won.
The World Muaythai Championships, organized annually by the International Federation of Muaythai Associations, draw professional fighters from over 40 countries. Kaleem, hailing from Quetta and residing in Karachi’s Baldia Town, works as a tea vendor.
Despite his humble profession, he boasts an impressive record, having been crowned the all-Karachi champion ten times, Wushu champion thrice, Muay Thai champion twice, and national champion three times.
