Shaheen Backs Fakhar, Saim, Confident of Maintaining Form
The Pakistan ODI captain says both players remain important to the side and that the team has performed well in the tri-nation series.

Captain Shaheen Afridi says Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub remain important and expresses confidence Pakistan will keep up their tri-series form.
Pakistan ODI captain Shaheen Afridi has said Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub will not be dropped, saying both players remain important to the team.
Shaheen’s Comments
Pakistan will make as few changes as possible, as changes to a team are not easy.
He called Fakhar a key player in one-day internationals and stressed the importance of his presence in the side.
He said Saim has produced several good performances and that his bowling also benefits the team.
If Pakistan bowl first, the aim is to restrict the opposition to around 250 runs, and the main objective is to win regardless of the opposition’s approach.
He said the team has performed well in the tri-nation series and expressed confidence that it will maintain its form in the coming matches.
England’s View
England’s Will Jacks said his side were disappointed by their defeat to Sri Lanka but acknowledged the opposition’s excellent performance. He said England aim to win both remaining matches to qualify for the final, and hopes the Lahore pitch is similar to Rawalpindi’s.
