The Islamabad High Court (IHC) extended former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s interim bail in two instances till June 8.

IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard the PTI chief’s petition for an extension of interim bail in matters involving incitement to revolt within institutions and attempted murder.

Barrister Gohar, Imran Khan’s lawyer, appeared in court. During the hearing, Chief Justice Aamir Farooq enquired whether an FIR on the former premier’s detention from the court premises had been filed.

On Imran Khan’s behalf, Barrister Gohar requested a one-time exemption from attendance for the PTI chairman, which the court granted.

Later, the court deferred the hearing and extended Imran Khan’s temporary bail until June 8.
