City loyalists in Pakistan were expecting an update after Honda Atlas teased a new and improved Honda City in a mysterious teaser on Facebook. Though Honda is planning to release a 7th generation City, Pakistan is more than likely to get the 6th generation Honda City.
The CBU/Completely Built Unit of the 6th generation GM6 Honda City, which was first introduced in 2019, is only now being imported from Thailand. The GM6 uses the same engine as previous models, with a few tweaks. There will most likely be two engine choices. A 1.5-liter SOHC i-Vtec inline-four with 118 horsepower at 6600 and 145 NM of torque at 4600. 118 horsepower at 6600 rpm and 145 pound-feet of torque at 4600 rpm. The other choice is to use the same components as the 5th generation.
The base model of the forthcoming Honda City is expected to cost around PKR 2.5 million, while the top-of-the-line 1.5L Aspire CVT is expected to cost around PKR 3.1 million.
