In the interbank market, the USD closed at Rs 279.93, indicating a slight loss of 0.07% from the previous close of Rs 279.45 according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Depending on supply and demand, the buying price of USD on the open market was Rs. 280, while the selling price was around Rs 282.
The currency rate movement is a reflection of foreign exchange reserve management, IMF-related policy measures and continuous macroeconomic adjustments.
