Two Pakistani startups, AdalFi and Adlytic AI, have been chosen among 23 innovative companies from the Asia-Pacific region to participate in Google’s inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Academy. This prestigious initiative, launched by Google in August 2024, aims to nurture and accelerate the growth of AI-driven solutions across the region, with a focus on business development and innovation.

The program, which began with a three-day boot camp in Singapore, saw startups from countries including Pakistan, India, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. AdalFi and Adlytic AI will benefit from over 170 hours of mentorship from AI and Cloud experts and up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits. The startups will also have opportunities to connect with AI innovators across the APAC region.

In a press release, Google highlighted the role of these startups in pushing the boundaries of AI innovation in Pakistan and contributing to the region’s growing AI ecosystem. AdalFi, with its AI-powered credit scoring system, is expanding access to financial services for millions of individuals and small businesses, while Adlytic AI is revolutionizing retail analytics by transforming CCTV cameras into smart tools that help businesses optimize their visual and geospatial data.

Michael Kim, Head of Google for Startups, expressed his excitement about launching the first AI Academy in the Asia-Pacific region. He noted that AI has immense potential to address critical challenges, from improving access to financial services and healthcare to building AI-powered tools for various industries.

The program will culminate with a Graduation Day in December, where the startups will present their refined AI solutions to investors, entrepreneurs, and AI industry leaders, marking a significant milestone for AI innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
