TCL Plans to launch world’s first foldable and rollable smartphone

TCL a Chinese appliance company plans to launch world’s first foldable and rollable smartphone soon. The device that will operate as a single device with the functions of fold and roll instead of holding two devices for double display.
According to international media officials, the smartphone is currently a prototype or concept design that the company will take some time to bring to market, with TCL aiming to launch the first device with a flexible screen by the end of the year.
Later this year, the company plans to release the device, which will be fitted with next-generation hinges and mechanics to support the action.
“The prototype has a 6.87” panel that can be expanded to 8.85” under normal conditions. The rollable mechanism extends that to ten inches,” GSMARENA reported.
