Scholarship Details

GIST Scholarship in South Korea is accepting applications from overseas students for fully financed programmes that include monthly stipends, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits. The grant is available for a variety of degree levels, including MS, PhD, and combined MS/PhD programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Korea.
  • English proficiency.

  • Tuition is paid in full.
  • MS students receive a monthly stipend of 140,000 Won, while PhD students receive a monthly stipend of 295,000 Won.
  • A meal salary of 100,000 Won is provided.
  • 120,000 Won is the international student allowance.
  • For qualified students, a research assistantship is available.
  • One-way flight to South Korea paid.
  • National health insurance coverage is 60%.

Application: Apply online by completing the application form on the GIST website.
Prepare necessary documents: such as official degrees and transcripts, letters of recommendation, a passport copy, and English language test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, and so on).
Admittance Notification: You will receive an email confirming your admittance.
Matriculation and Fees: Complete the matriculation process and pay the fees after acceptance.
Successful candidates will begin their studies in the spring semester (March 2024 entry).
