The late great climber Ali Sadpara’s son Sajid became the first Pakistani to climb Manaslu Peak in Nepal without utilizing any additional oxygen.

On Monday afternoon, an experienced hiker from Pakistan succeeded in realizing a long-held dream by reaching the top of the 8,163-meter mountain.

He added another feather to his cap by becoming the first Pakistani to scale the eighth highest peak located in the west-central part of Nepal.

The son of the late Pakistani iconic climber started the mission with foreign climbers on September 6. In a recent tweet on his official handle said, “Alhamdulliah, Sajid has summited Mt Manaslu 8,163m world’s 8th highest mountain without oxygen this afternoon and is first Pakistani to climb to the True Summit. Congratulations Pakistan.”

Sajid has already made history by reaching summits such as K2 (8,611 metres), Gasherbrum-II (8,035 metres), and other peaks this year.

He and his teammates conquered K2, the second-highest mountain, for the second time last year. Prior to that, he began a K2 journey to look for his father Ali Sadpara, a renowned climber who never returned from the’savage peak.
