CM Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged multiple organizations to promote and sponsor the great military shooting sports.

While giving a speech during the opening ceremony of the 6th Chief of the Naval Staff Open Shooting Championship 2021, he offered a PKR10 million grant for the promotion of the sport of shooting under the Pakistan Navy. The participants’ enthusiasm, as well as the excitement in the air, was inspirational and uplifting, according to the CM, who hoped that the finalists would give their all in the shooting event.

CM Syed Murad Ali Shah said, “I am certain that this will mark another step towards the perennial tradition of promoting good marksmanship that is carried across the fabric of service.” Shah also pointed out that the country has a huge amount of talented shooters. He claimed that the competition has 350 participants from 10 renowned teams which serve up as a great example of how many people follow this sport in the country.

He went on to recall how Pakistani shooters made their way into the Olympics and also were able to secure 2nd place in the CISM 2021 games. To promote and support emerging players, Shah urged provinces, government organizations such as WAPDA, PIA, and Pakistan Railways, philanthropists, private firms, and entrepreneurs to sponsor and participate in shooting games. He urged the shooters to compete with enthusiasm and passion in such events in order to bring home more medals for the country.
