Pakistan Muslim League Quaid President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has suspended the basic party membership of Pervaiz Elahi ahead of the expected merger of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and PML-Q.
Responding to reports of the expected merger of the PTI and PML-Q, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain removed Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi’s basic party membership.
Pervaiz Elahi received a show-cause notice, and the PML-Q president requested a response from him within a week.
Pervaiz Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, called a meeting of the PML-Q earlier in the day to discuss the merger proposal made by Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
