President calls for establishing mental healthcare infrastructure in Pakistan

On Wednesday, while presiding over a conference in Islamabad, he stressed the necessity of creating a mental healthcare infrastructure in Pakistan and the urgent need for strengthening already-existing mental healthcare facilities.

In order to provide instant counseling to anyone seeking mental health-related counseling, the President asked for the creation of a mobile app powered by artificial intelligence and a web-based helpline.

In order to quickly address the shortfall of trained human resources facing the commercial sector, according to Dr. Arif Alvi, universities should also provide Associate Degree Courses of two years in several subjects.
