Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on Friday for major changes to the international financial structure in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During his video presence at the first virtual Summit of the Future Global Call at the United Nations in New York, the prime minister highlighted the need for reform.
PM Shehbaz highlighted the importance of expanded concessional funding, increased Official Development Assistance, and more lending from international development institutions.
The PM presented an extensive plan to international leaders, including measures for economically weak states to meet the SDGS and solve global concerns.
