After enormous appreciation of the Hockey team by significant members of the state, PM has further devised a policy. This policy is particularly followed by the outstanding performance of the National Team in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. Earlier, the PM invited all members of the unit to an event in order to acknowledge their efforts. CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz also rewarded the team with a cash prize of 30 million as appreciation. These efforts to recognise the striving of athletes has however not yet halted.

On Thursday, PM Shehbaz Sharif gave a directive to formulate a policy to employ athletes. This employment will particularly be through different departments ensure their financial security and promote sports in the country. He appointed Rana Mashhood who is the chairman of the PM’s youth program to personally to monitor the application of this policy within one week. The quandary concerning the financial status of athletes has persisted for a very long time. With a policy to counter this, PM puts this dilemma to rest. Correspondingly this concern of economic stability for the striving athletes becomes insignificant, promoting participation in Sports. He expressed gratitude for the hard work of the team, coaches, and officials of the sports board. He declared his intention to promptly convene a meeting with the pertinent officials from the sports board to explore avenues for the revival of hockey in the nation. In this particular address, he also gave out the cash prizes to each individual player of the Hockey Team. The event was attended by former, legendary players like Samiullah, Islahuddin, and Shahbaz Ahmed.
