Pakistanis Can Study Free of Cost in 5 Canadian Universities

In 2023, A number of Canadian colleges are offering fully funded scholarships. Scholarships are available for international students including Pakistanis to pursue undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees in Canada for free of cost.

In addition to these scholarships, the Canadian government provides various support measures to assist international students in managing their financial expenses while studying in the country.

The excellent reputation of Canadian universities and the availability of scholarship opportunities make Canada a popular destination for international students. These institutions consistently rank high on the global stage, attracting students from around the world.

Here are five prominent Canadian universities:

1. University of Montreal

This university boasts a significant international student population, with a quarter of its students coming from abroad. It is the second-largest university in Canada by student enrollment, with over 36,000 students. The University of Montreal has a vibrant student union that represents both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and it is home to three affiliated fraternities.

2. McMaster University

Located in Hamilton, Ontario, McMaster University is known for its diverse community, with students and faculty hailing from more than 90 countries. The university was named after William McMaster, a prominent Canadian senator and banker who generously donated C$900,000 to establish the institution. McMaster’s medical school is renowned worldwide.

3. McGill University

McGill University is an English-language public research university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1821 by royal charter, the university bears the name of James McGill, a Scottish merchant whose bequest in 1813 established the University of McGill College.

4. University of British Columbia

With 33 percent of its student body coming from international backgrounds, the University of British Columbia is a truly global institution. The university has a remarkable track record, with eight Nobel laureates, 71 Rhodes scholars, and 65 Olympic medallists associated with it. It boasts two campuses, one in Vancouver and one in Okanagan.

5. University of Toronto

This institution stands out as the only Canadian university to feature in the top 20 of the World University Rankings 2023. Its alumni include five Canadian prime ministers and renowned writers such as Michael Ondaatje and Margaret Atwood. Impressively, the University of Toronto has affiliations with a total of 10 Nobel laureates.
