KARACHI – The Pakistan Navy recently conducted a comprehensive sea training exercise for officers and cadets of the Royal Saudi Navy Forces, highlighting the deep-rooted and multifaceted defense relations between the two Muslim nations.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Pakistan Navy emphasized the longstanding tradition of military collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have long enjoyed robust collaboration in military training. Saudi Navy officers and cadets frequently undergo training at various Pakistan Navy (PN) training units, ships, and naval squadrons,” the statement read.

During the recent training exercise, 96 Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) trainees from the King Fahad Naval Academy participated in a thorough and intensive program. The training modules covered a wide array of naval competencies, including tactics, weapon handling, combat training, navigation, naval operations, and seamanship. Additionally, a familiarization tour to Naval Aviation was arranged, providing the Saudi trainees with a holistic understanding of naval operations.

The Pakistan Navy further elaborated on the significance of this exercise, stating, “The training exercise serves as a testament to the mutual commitment to enhance military capabilities and strategic cooperation, reflecting a shared vision for sustained military excellence and cooperation.”

This collaborative endeavor underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to bolster their defense ties and enhance their military readiness. The successful completion of this training exercise not only strengthens the operational capabilities of the Royal Saudi Navy but also fortifies the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for future joint military initiatives.
