According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief spoke to army members while visiting the garrisons in Sialkot and Mangla.

Also interacting with officers and staff at both locations was the senior commander. He was grateful for the formations’ outstanding performance during numerous operations, training exercises, and natural disasters.

Addressing the soldiers, the Army Chief stressed serving the nation with the same zeal and commitment no matter the circumstances.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Muhammad Aamer welcomed General Bajwa to the Sialkot garrison, while Lieutenant General Ayman Bilal Safdar welcomed him to the Mangla post.

The COAS General paid a visit to the Peshwar Corps Headquarters on Wednesday and placed a wreath at the memorial to the martyrs.

The Chief of Army Staff announced his imminent retirement on November 29, the final day of his second tenure as army chief, amid rumors of an extension.
